Laura Hillenbrand’s “Unbroken”

I cannot recommend highly enough Laura Hillenbrand’s book Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption.  It is an account of the early life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner–turned air force bomber–turned potential shark meal–turned POW.  The story is amazing, and the ending will leave you in tears.  I don’t want to give away any more of the story.  Just trust me: it is worth your time.

Why are you still reading my blog? You should be reading Unbroken by now.

I saw Louie Zamperini speak at Charles Stanley’s church, First Baptist on a visit to Atlanta. He is one funny guy – and thats an understatement. He also has a remarkable story to tell. I will have to read the book.
